Not Through

We have cause to be grateful
If there is breath in our lungs
For what good becomes
Of being disdainful?
We have cause to be grateful
If there are songs to be sung
And people who need to be loved.
God save us from being hateful
And if your eyes are tired
As mine sometimes are
Keep moving ahead
For there is much to be desired
And just maybe joy isn't very far
God's not through with you yet

Breathe Deeply

Breathe deeply, I tell my self.
I don't have to know all the answers right now.
Everything will come around.
Pay attention to your better health.
In peace there is an eternal wealth.
Ignore the anxious-ridden sounds.
You may feel lost, but you are found.
Search, tired eyes. Is there a truth to tell?
I desire something beyond these illusions.
But hindrances such as pain and confusion,
Block my path and I choose a different way.
It makes it difficult for me to stay.
Breathe deeply, and let it all go.
There are some things I can never know.
